Advance Funeral Trust Planning

The term “pre-need” is a common one in the funeral industry and insurance licensing area for the process of helping a family member plan the funeral arrangement in advance.

In many states, what is required of the individual professional advance funeral planner is a life insurance license. The funds “in advance” of the actual passing of the insured must be in an irrevocable funeral trust if associated or guaranteed with a specific funeral home. Options in funding a pre-need funeral may be a state approved fund of the Funeral Home Association of that state. Many agents approach the consumer with a final expense policy which is basically a whole life policy.

Having Insurance and Advance Funeral Planning experience, I provide an advantage most agent’s lack.  In other words, I am not just another insurance agent . In fact, I am endorsed by a local funeral home and licensed with a national insurance carrier providing an irrevocable funeral trust.

Does your agent know the differences in these final expense areas? Personal experiences with loved ones, “on the worst day of my life” give me the perspective of the benefit of Advance Funeral Planning. Can your agent provide an option for a final expense policy or the irrevocable trust? Do they know the difference?

Please contact me to see if an Irrevocable Funeral Trust or a final expense whole life policy is better for you. If you have a whole life policy will there be enough money for the advance funeral plans?
